Home DNA Test Kit:
This Home DNA Test Kit (DNA Test kit) is intended to determine the biological relationship between a father and child. The test obtains results that are solely for personal use and informational purposes. If you require a DNA test for legal proceedings, you must schedule an appointment at a certified My Genetic DNA Center.
What is the Paternity Home DNA Test Kit?
In a paternity DNA test, the test utilizes DNA samples, typically obtained through a cheek swab, to establish the biological relationship between a man and a child, confirming whether he is the child’s biological father.
What contains a Home DNA Test Kit?
A Home DNA Test Kit contains buccal swabs to collect the saliva samples of testing parties.
How does the Paternity test work?
During a Paternity DNA test, the test analyzes different genetic locations along the DNA molecule.
A person possesses two alleles at each location (out of many possible), and these alleles, identified by a number, are inherited from the parents at conception, with one allele coming from the mother and the from the father.
When laying out the DNA profiles of biological parents together, it is important that one of the child’s alleles (numbers) aligns with a number from the mother’s sample, while the other allele should correspond to an allele from the father’s sample.
If the alleles match at all analyzed locations, it confirms that the person is the biological father of the child, as it proves they have passed these genetic markers to the child at conception.
Inconsistencies (locations where there is NO match) exclude a person as a biological father. This is based on the fact that individuals can only pass on the alleles they possess in their own DNA profile.

2. Collect the DNA sample
Collect the samples. Furthermore, for each test participant, there are 2 mouth swabs required. To obtain the necessary DNA samples, start by firmly rubbing the cotton end of the swab inside the left cheek at least 10 times. Subsequently, repeat the same process on the right cheek using a second swab.
Dry The samples. Both swabs by flicking through the air for at least 20 seconds. Avoid touching the cotton end to prevent contamination of the DNA samples.
Packing the samples. Place the swabs into the designated sample envelope for each test participant, ensuring all details are completed on the envelope. Seal the envelope securely.
3. Mail back your DNA samples
Moreover, after inserting the samples in the envelopes, proceed to complete the provided forms. Finally, kindly return the completed forms and samples to our lab address.
Your DNA Test results will be sent to you within 8-10 working days from the laboratory receiving the samples.
